On the Shortest Day of the Year

Happy Winter Solstice, and thank you for joining me this year in learning about restorative justice. At this time when the sun seems farthest away, educators like you are using restorative justice to bring light and warmth to our world.

These caring professionals are strengthening our students by giving them a voice, holding them accountable for healing the harm they cause, keeping them in their learning communities, and building real connections with educators and fellow students. In doing this, they strengthen our society and brighten the future for us all.

It has been a privilege to share my knowledge and passion for restorative justice with you. If I can strengthen your restorative practice or help your colleagues understand and adopt this powerful process, please let me know.

My website outlines some of the ways I can help. Many of my blog entries include resources and information about restorative justice initiatives in schools. They’re short but full of information you might find helpful. Sign up for our mailing list if you’d like to receive periodic updates.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me to talk through situations. I love hearing from RJ practitioners and supporting their practice.
